Indian Travellers Unfazed by War in West Asia
Despite the ongoing conflict in West Asia, which has led to airlines rerouting flights, Indian travellers seem to be undeterred and have not altered their holiday plans.
According to recent data, the number of Indians travelling abroad this year remains unchanged, with a total of 2.5 million passengers flying out of India in the first quarter alone. This is a significant increase from the same period last year, with 15% more passengers taking to the skies.
In terms of destinations, the Middle East and West Asia region, which has been affected by the conflict, has seen a slight decline in tourist numbers. However, neighbouring countries such as and have reported a surge in Indian tourist arrivals, with and increases, respectively.
