From 90-Hour Workweeks to 5:30 P.M. Endings: CEO Redefines Work-Life Balance
US Polo Assn. CEO Embraces Work-Life Balance, Prioritizes Employee Well-being
J Michael Prince, CEO of US Polo Assn., has undergone a significant shift in his leadership approach, transitioning from grueling 90-hour workweeks to a more balanced and sustainable lifestyle. In a recent interview, Prince revealed that he now prioritizes shutting down work at a reasonable hour and minimizing after-hours communication unless absolutely necessary.
Prince's new philosophy is a stark departure from his earlier burnout-prone work habits. Having spent years working excessive hours, he eventually realized that constantly being "on" was neither sustainable nor beneficial in the long run. Today, the US Polo Assn. chief typically wraps up his workday around 5:30 pm, allowing him to disconnect and focus on his personal life.
