A first-year student at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has sparked a discussion online after sharing his reflections on the "hidden costs" of studying at one of India's most prestigious management institutes. Vivek Kundu, a student at IIM Ahmedabad, took to Instagram to share his candid thoughts on the sacrifices he made during his first year at the institution.
Kundu, who arrived on campus after debating at Stanford, cracking the Common Admission Test (CAT), and overcoming challenges growing up in a village before moving to Chandigarh, found that the biggest lessons came from sacrifices he never anticipated. He identified five "casualties" that defined his first year at IIM Ahmedabad.
