Tech's Most Influential Companies Emerge Under 'MANGOS' Umbrella
Rise of MANGOS: A New Era in Technology
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the global technology landscape, giving rise to a new acronym that is gaining traction among investors and industry observers. Known as MANGOS, the grouping brings together Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, Google, OpenAI, and SpaceX, companies that are increasingly seen as the driving forces behind the AI era.
The term has emerged as a reflection of the growing influence of AI developers, semiconductor leaders, and computing infrastructure providers. It is being viewed by some analysts as a modern counterpart to the FAANG group, which once defined the technology sector's biggest winners. For more than a decade, FAANG, representing Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google, symbolised the companies driving growth and innovation in the technology sector.
However, the rapid rise of generative AI has shifted investor focus toward firms building AI models, supplying advanced chips, and providing the computing power needed to run them. The idea gained momentum after TechCrunch argued that the technology industry could soon be dominated by a new group of companies as OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX move closer to major public market debuts.
