Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee Interrogated for 5.5 Hours in Signature Forgery Case
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee was interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for nearly 5.5 hours on Thursday in connection with a signature forgery case that has rocked the party after Bengal poll defeat.
During the interrogation, Banerjee faced intense questioning, but investigators were not satisfied with his responses. According to sources, Banerjee dodged questions when asked about multiple inconsistencies in his response related to the resolution book involving party MLAs, triggering fresh scrutiny. The Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha MP reportedly lost his temper over repeated questioning related to multiple aspects in the alleged forgery case.
