US Officials Reportedly Receive Divine Guidance on Iran Conflict
Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) Report Sparks Concern Over US Military Briefings
A report by the MRFF, a US non-profit that protects religious freedom in the armed forces, has raised questions about the language used in US military briefings related to the conflict with Iran. According to the report, published on 3 March, at least 200 servicemen from 50 military installations across all services have complained that their commanders are framing the ongoing operation in religious terms.
The report alleges that a senior officer made religious references during a combat readiness meeting, stating that President Donald Trump was "anointed by Jesus" and that the conflict forms part of "God's divine plan." The officer allegedly referenced the Book of Revelation, citing Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
MRFF president Mikey Weinstein, an Air Force veteran, has criticized the alleged remarks, stating that this type of language creates a "propaganda bonanza" for extremist groups such as Al-Qaeda, Islamic State, and Boko Haram. He argues that it could increase tensions in Iran and the wider region.

The report suggests that this is not an isolated incident, with 15 members of a unit alleging that their commander made similar remarks. The MRFF has been working to protect religious freedom in the armed forces and has raised concerns that this type of language may be creating a hostile environment for service members who do not share the same religious beliefs.
