K Krithivasan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), received a total remuneration of over ₹28 crore in the financial year 2026 (FY26), according to the company's latest annual report. This marks a 6.3 per cent increase in Krithivasan's compensation on a year-on-year basis, as reported by Business Today on Wednesday.
The remuneration details have surfaced at a time when the company is dealing with employee concerns over salary revisions and appraisal outcomes. The disclosures come alongside broader discussions about employee salary revisions after some TCS employees claimed their monthly take-home pay had declined following appraisal-linked restructuring.
TCS CEO Pay Package Breakdown
Krithivasan's FY26 package included over ₹1.67 crore in base salary, ₹1.43 crore in benefits, allowances, and perquisites, and nearly ₹25 crore in commission, making variable payouts the largest component of his earnings. The company's CEO pay structure was heavily leaned toward performance-linked compensation.
A comparison of Krithivasan's compensation with the median employee salary at TCS reveals a significant pay gap. Krithivasan's compensation was roughly 333 times the median employee salary at the company.

Despite ₹28 crore being a sizable pay package by corporate standards, Krithivasan is in the middle of India's IT CEO compensation rankings. A comparison with peers at leading technology companies shows that he trails HCLTech, Infosys, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra.
