Star Health and Allied Insurance Posts Rs 111.3 Crore Net Profit in Q4 FY26

Star Health and Allied Insurance Company reported a net profit of Rs 111.3 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2026, marking a significant improvement from the same period last year. However, the insurer's profit declined sequentially from Rs 128.2 crore in the previous quarter.

The company's net earned premium grew by 13.9 percent year-on-year to Rs 4,327.2 crore in Q4 FY26, up from Rs 3,798.3 crore in the same period last year. This growth in premium earnings can be attributed to the company's expanding customer base and increasing demand for health insurance products.

Despite a challenging market environment, Star Health and Allied Insurance narrowed its underwriting losses to Rs 154.28 crore in Q4 FY26, down from Rs 275.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. This reduction in underwriting losses reflects the company's improved risk management and underwriting practices.

A notable improvement in the company's operating performance was observed, with Star Health and Allied Insurance reporting an operating profit of Rs 64 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to an operating loss of Rs 87 crore in the same period last year.
