Patna Coaching Centre Owner Seeks Anticipatory Bail Over Vandalism Allegations
Khan Sir to File Anticipatory Bail Petition in Patna Civil Court
Educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, is set to file an anticipatory bail petition in Patna civil court after being named in a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with vandalism at his coaching centre in Patna. The FIR was registered following an incident where a group of 15-20 people allegedly tore down the coaching centre's poster and threw stones at its premises on Tuesday night.
According to the police, two guards of the coaching centre were detained for allegedly firing shots during the incident. However, a lawyer representing Khan Sir, Arvind Kumar Mahuar, alleged that the FIR has been registered against his client as "part of a conspiracy to defame him". Mahuar stated that Khan Sir will not surrender and will instead file an anticipatory bail petition before the court.
The anticipatory bail petition is likely to be filed on Monday when court proceedings resume after the weekend. Mahuar alleged that there are no actual charges against his client and that the inclusion of Khan Sir's name in the FIR is a retaliatory measure. He claimed that videos and photos of the incident show that the guards fired shots in the air for safety purposes, with no injuries reported.
