India's Nayara Energy to Resume Operations at Vadinar Refinery in Mid-May
India's Nayara Energy is expected to resume operations by mid-May at its 400,000-barrels per day Vadinar refinery in western Gujarat state after a maintenance shutdown. The refinery had been fully shut since April 9.
According to Sujata Sharma, a joint secretary in the federal oil ministry, the refinery was originally scheduled to shut for a month-long maintenance last year. However, due to European Union sanctions, which made it difficult to secure key items required for the turnaround, the plan had to be postponed.
