KisaanSay Secures Rs 34 Crore in Funding Round Led by NABVENTURES
KisaanSay, a direct-from-origin food brand, has successfully raised Rs 34 crore in a funding round led by NABVENTURES through the AgriSURE Fund. The round also saw participation from senior industry leaders.
The company plans to utilize the funds to expand its distribution network, invest in marketing and brand-building efforts, strengthen its team, and build a full-stack technology infrastructure. Furthermore, the capital will be deployed to improve supply chain efficiencies and deepen category penetration. This strategic move aims to solidify KisaanSay's position in the market and enhance its offerings to customers.
Founded by Nitin Puri, Vaishali Mehta, and Manoj Karki, KisaanSay specializes in selling 100 percent single-origin food products. The company's primary goal is to connect farmers directly with consumers, emphasizing the importance of traceability and provenance.
AgriSURE is a SEBI-registered Category II AIF, sponsored by the Government of India through the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. Managed by NABVENTURES, the fund invests in technology-driven agri and rural startups to strengthen farm-to-market linkages and support farmer producer organizations.
NABVENTURES' Managing Director, Vikas Bhatt, stated that the investment will support KisaanSay's expansion by leveraging NABARD's ecosystem, including its network of farmer producer companies (FPCs). This partnership will enable KisaanSay to tap into the resources and expertise of NABARD, ultimately driving its growth and success.
KisaanSay currently offers over 100 SKUs across 12 categories. The company works with 25 farmer enterprises, covering around 50,000 farmers across nine states. Its products are sold through its own website, e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms, and select retail stores in Delhi-NCR.
