JP Morgan Colleagues Describe Chirayu Rana as "Socially Awkward" Amid Lorna Hajdini Sexual Abuse Allegations
JP Morgan Employee Accused of Fabricating Sexual Abuse Claims
A former JP Morgan employee, Chirayu Rana, who filed a sexual abuse case against a colleague under a pseudonym, has been described by a former colleague as "socially awkward" but someone who met the bank's performance expectations. According to a report by the New York Post, Rana was a member of the leveraged finance team, which works on large corporate acquisitions, mergers, and buyouts.
Rana's colleague, who wished to remain anonymous, described him as "socially awkward" but stated that he "met the requirements" to remain at the bank. The Post report also states that Rana's colleague, Lorna Hajdini, reported to managing director Brandon Graffeo, while Rana was supervised by managing director Jon Wolter. This indicates that Hajdini did not have the power to influence Rana's bonus amount.
Rana lodged an internal complaint in May 2025, alleging race- and gender-based harassment and abuse of power, and later sought a multi-million payout as part of an exit from the company. However, according to the Post, another colleague described Rana's allegations as "a complete fabrication."

The Allegations Against Lorna Hajdini
A former Asian colleague of Hajdini claimed that he was subjected to months of racial discrimination and sexual assault. The man, who filed a lawsuit, alleged that Hajdini visited his house and abused him while he pleaded with her to stop. According to the lawsuit, the misconduct began in 2024 and included a reported incident where Hajdini allegedly remarked, "Oh, you did play basketball in college? … I love basketball players… they get me so wet."
The accuser claimed that Hajdini drugged him on an occasion and took advantage of him. She allegedly made suggestive moves and derogatory remarks not just about the man, but also about his wife.

A bank spokesperson declined to comment on Rana's identity, stating that a comprehensive internal review by HR and in-house legal teams found no evidence to back the allegations. The investigation included an examination of team phone records and emails, but the complainant refused to participate and declined to provide facts to support his allegations. JP Morgan strongly denied all of the claims made against Hajdini.
