Global Markets React to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's Death

On Saturday, the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, aged 86, was reported following a joint military operation by the United States and Israel on Iranian targets. The operation resulted in the death of the Iranian Supreme Leader and several of his family members, including his daughter, grandchild, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law.

The strikes were carried out by 200 Israeli fighter jets, which hit approximately 50 targets across Iran, marking the largest aerial mission in Israel's history. In response, Iran condemned the attacks as unjustified aggression and launched missile barrages against Israel and several Gulf states hosting US military facilities.

The incident has caused widespread disruptions in international travel, with hundreds of flights cancelled at major Indian airports, including Delhi and Mumbai, following the closure of airspace by several Middle Eastern countries.

The global market reaction has been mixed, with some investors expressing concerns about the potential for increased tensions in the region and others seeing opportunities for growth in the wake of the conflict.
