
Infosys Sees 28% Quarter-on-Quarter Increase in Net Profit, Exceeding Analyst Projections
Infosys Reports Strong Q4 FY26 Earnings
Infosys Ltd, a leading IT giant, has reported a significant increase in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of financial year 2026. The company's net profit rose by 27.8 percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 8,501 crore, surpassing market expectations.
This performance outshines the forecast made by a CNBC TV18 poll of analysts, which had predicted a net profit of Rs 7,670 crore, with a quarter-on-quarter growth of 15.3 percent. In contrast to the poll's expectations, Infosys' revenue saw a more modest growth, rising by 1.8 percent to Rs 46,329 crore.
Despite the positive earnings report, Infosys shares experienced a decline ahead of the results, falling by 2.9 percent on Thursday to close at Rs 1,231.8 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
