Indian Fitness Brand Unveils Innovative Protein Condom, Raising Questions About its Authenticity
Beast Life's "World's First Protein Condom" Sparks Debate Ahead of April Fool's Day
A fitness brand, Beast Life, has announced the launch of a new product that has left social media users questioning its authenticity. On Sunday, Beast Life, founded by content creator and fitness enthusiast Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast, took to Instagram to announce the "world's first protein condom." The post, which stated "We’re coming to upgrade your night performance," quickly went viral, with users wondering if the product was a joke ahead of April Fool's Day.
This is not the first time a condom has made headlines for being "futuristic." In 2024, German condom company Billy Boy, in collaboration with Innocean Berlin, launched an app called Camdom, a "digital condom" that aims to prevent digital privacy violations during intimate encounters. Camdom uses Bluetooth technology to block unauthorized camera, video, and microphone access on users' devices. The app's developer, Felipe Almeida, explained the purpose of Camdom, stating that it aims to protect users from non-consensual content recording.
The digital condom aims to tackle the modern issue of revenge porn, which has affected everyone from celebrities to ordinary individuals. According to studies by the Egas Moniz School of Health & Science in Portugal, revenge porn can lead to profound psychological effects, including depression, anxiety, and social withdrawal. For example, a professor from the City University of New York was awarded $30 million in damages after her former partner leaked intimate images online.
