Indian Army Commemorates Operation Sindoor Anniversary with Video Release
The Indian Army marked the one-year anniversary of Operation Sindoor with a video release on Thursday, highlighting the mission's execution and reaffirming the country's stance against terrorism. The video, which begins with a speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, serves as a testament to India's commitment to finding, pursuing, and destroying terrorists and those who aid them.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, 2025, in response to the deadly terror incident in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, where Pakistan-backed militants killed 26 Indian citizens. The coordinated strikes targeted nine militant hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), resulting in the destruction of infrastructure associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Reports suggest that over 100 militants were eliminated in the four-day confrontation, including 10 relatives of Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masood Azhar.
The video showcases behind-the-scenes visuals of strategic military preparations and combat operations, as well as footage of military positions in Pakistan and PoK that were struck by Indian forces during the conflict. The mission, which lasted only 25 minutes, demonstrated the Indian Army's capabilities and resolve in dealing with terrorist threats.
