Government Appoints New Nominee Director at REC
The Indian government has approved the appointment of Rajesh Kumar Agarwal as a nominee director on the board of Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), effective May 1, 2026. This decision was conveyed to the company by the Ministry of Power through a communication received on May 6.
Rajesh Kumar Agarwal currently serves as the Director Finance of Power Finance Corporation (PFC). His appointment as a nominee director on the REC board was announced in an exchange filing by REC. According to the same filing, the Ministry of Power has granted approval for Agarwal's nomination as a nominee director of PFC on the REC board.
The appointment is set to take effect from May 1, 2026, as per the communication received from the Ministry of Power on May 6.
