Vasu Shroff, Dubai's 'Textile King', Passes Away at 85
Vasu Shroff, a renowned Indian businessman and philanthropist, passed away on April 26 at the age of 85. He was at his residence in Al Satwa, Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), when he died. According to reports citing Gopal Kokani of Hindu Mandir Dubai, Vasu Shroff died between 7:30 am and 8 am.
Funeral Arrangements Announced
Shroff's cremation is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 27, at 4:30 pm at the New Sonapur cemetery in Dubai. The cremation will be attended by men only, as per a report in Khaleej Times.

Legacy and Tributes
The Regal Group released a statement paying tribute to Shroff's legacy. "Mr. Shroff was not only the guiding force behind the Regal family but also an inspiration to all of us through his vision, humility, and unwavering dedication. His legacy will continue to live on in the values and foundation he built for all of us."
Tributes also poured in from other prominent business leaders, including Yusuffali MA, chairman of Lulu Group, and Dhananjay Datar, chairman and managing director of Adil Group of Supermarkets.
A Life of Achievement

Shroff landed in Sharjah in 1960, traveling on a boat from Mumbai. He established Regal Traders, which expanded to 16 stores across five countries in a matter of a few years. He was also known for his philanthropic efforts, having funded schools, religious institutions, and healthcare facilities.
