DSP Asset Managers Appoints Anish Tawakley as Chief Investment Officer
DSP Asset Managers has announced the appointment of Anish Tawakley as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Tawakley joins from ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, where he served as Co-Chief Investment Officer – Equities. With nearly three decades of experience in the financial markets, he brings deep expertise across equity research, portfolio management, asset allocation, and team leadership, having navigated multiple market cycles.
In his new role, Tawakley will oversee both equity and fixed income strategies at DSP and collaborate closely with the firm’s existing investment teams. The appointment is aimed at enhancing alignment across asset classes while maintaining DSP’s long-standing emphasis on disciplined, research-driven investing.
Kalpen Parekh, Managing Director & CEO, DSP Asset Managers said that Tawakley has experienced market cycles over three decades and brings a conservative and rigorous lens to investing. He believes alpha is earned in down cycles and prioritises safeguarding against downside risks. His ability to integrate macro, equity, fixed income, and credit perspectives will be key to delivering consistent outcomes for DSP’s investors.
