Donald Trump's Latest Medical Report Indicates Weight Exceeding 100 kg, Doctor Cites Excellent Health Status
US President Donald Trump's Health Assessment Reveals Weight Gain and Improved Cholesterol Levels
A recently published medical assessment of US President Donald Trump has generated significant discussion online after revealing that the 79-year-old now weighs 238 pounds (approximately 108 kilograms), marking an increase of almost six kilograms since his previous health examination in April 2025.
The findings were outlined in a detailed memorandum issued by White House physician Dr Sean Barbabella following Trump's latest annual medical review. Despite the increase in weight, the report concluded that the president remains in “excellent health” and is fully capable of carrying out the responsibilities of his office.
According to the medical evaluation, Trump underwent a broad range of preventive health screenings and diagnostic procedures at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre. The assessment included cardiac imaging, a CT scan, laboratory testing, cancer screening measures, and consultations involving 22 medical specialists from different disciplines.

The report stated that the examinations formed part of a routine annual health review and were conducted in line with established preventive healthcare guidelines.
| Health Indicator | April 2025 | Current |
|---|---|---|
| Weight (lbs) | 102 | 238 |
| Weight (kg) | 46.3 | 108 |
| Height (in) | 75.5 | 75.5 |
| BMI | 28.5 | 29.7 |
The memo recorded Trump's height as 6ft 3in and his weight almost 107.9 kg, resulting in a body mass index (BMI) of approximately 29.7. Medical guidelines generally classify a BMI of 30 or above as obese, placing Trump just below that threshold.
As part of the assessment, physicians advised continued efforts to manage weight through lifestyle measures. The recommendations included increased physical activity, dietary improvements, ongoing weight reduction, and the use of low-dose aspirin as part of preventive healthcare.

Dr Barbabella wrote that Trump “remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function.”
The physician also stated that the president is “fully fit to carry out all duties” associated with serving as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief.
Among the observations recorded during the examination was mild bruising on Trump's hands. Doctors attributed the marks to frequent handshaking combined with aspirin therapy and described the condition as benign.
The report referred to the issue as “minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking” and noted that it represented “a common and benign effect of aspirin therapy.”
Medical staff also documented slight swelling in the lower legs. The condition was linked to chronic venous insufficiency, a circulatory issue previously disclosed by the White House. The latest assessment, however, noted that the swelling had improved compared with the previous year.
Last year, officials confirmed that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition commonly seen among older adults that can result in blood pooling in the legs.
The president's cognitive abilities were also evaluated during the examination using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a widely used screening tool designed to identify potential cognitive impairment and dementia-related symptoms.
According to the report, Trump achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30, matching the results recorded during previous assessments, including examinations conducted in 2018 and last year.
The document also highlighted improvements in cholesterol levels.
| Cholesterol Levels | 2018 | 2025 | 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total Cholesterol | 223 | 143 | 140 |
| LDL Cholesterol | |||
| HDL Cholesterol |
Trump's total cholesterol measured 143 during the latest examination, a substantial reduction from the level of 223 recorded in 2018. His cholesterol had previously fallen to 140 during testing carried out in April last year.
The report noted that Trump continues to take rosuvastatin, a medication used to lower LDL cholesterol while supporting healthier HDL levels. He also takes ezetimibe, which further assists in reducing LDL cholesterol.
In addition to the clinical findings, Dr Barbabella suggested that the president's active schedule contributes positively to his overall condition.
“His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being,” the physician wrote.
The health assessment attracted widespread attention on social media after an X user known as @johnnymaga shared selected details from the report, highlighting Trump's listed height and weight with the post: “6'3" 238 lbs.”
The post quickly circulated online and generated a broad range of reactions, with some users questioning the reported blood pressure reading and others expressing skepticism about the president's overall health.
