
CBSE Class 10 Student Dies by Suicide in Gurugram Amid Disappointment Over Exam Marks
Student, 16, Dies by Suicide After CBSE Class 10 Results
A 16-year-old Class 10 student, Kunal, allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Baba Hardeva Colony, Jatoli area, under Pataudi police station limits, officials said on Thursday. The incident is believed to have occurred on Wednesday evening.
According to police, Kunal might have taken the extreme step because he was upset about not meeting his expectations after the CBSE Class 10 results were declared. A senior police officer stated that further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
Family members revealed that Kunal had performed well in the exams but was disheartened when his results did not meet his expectations. His parents encouraged him to retake the examination, but unfortunately, he fell into depression. In a tragic turn of events, Kunal went to a room on the terrace, while other family members were in another room of the house at the time of the incident.

When the family members later went upstairs, they found the room locked from the inside. After breaking open the door, the police said Kunal was found hanging from a noose inside. The police team reached the spot and sent the body for a postmortem. No suicide note was recovered.
Kunal was a student of a private school, and his father, an employee in the Railways, had booked a laptop for him after the results were announced. This unfortunate incident highlights the pressure and stress that students often face in the wake of examination results.
