Bengaluru Tech Pro's Shocking Monthly Expenses Revealed

Bengaluru, a city known for its tech hubs, has become increasingly expensive for young professionals working in the industry. A recent video posted by a Bengaluru-based software engineer has sparked online discussion after revealing his monthly expenses of around Rs 3.6 lakh for March.

The breakdown, which has gone viral, details how the software engineer, identified as Souraja, used his salary across different categories, including a major one-time purchase, regular household expenses, and savings. Despite the high total spending, Souraja claimed he was still able to save money.

Souraja's biggest expense for the month was his bike purchase, which he made at the end of February and paid for using a credit card. He had to clear the credit card bill in March, amounting to around Rs 2.51 lakh. This made up the largest share of his monthly expenses.

In addition to these expenses, Souraja also broke down his day-to-day costs, including domestic help, food, groceries, and utilities. He spent Rs 3,700 on cook and maid services, Rs 2,000 on food delivery and eating out, Rs 700 on electricity, and Rs 5,000 on groceries.

Souraja also mentioned that his mobile and internet bills were covered by his company, so they were not included in the total expenses. He further revealed that his fuel costs were high in March due to the new bike, with a trip to Coorg costing around Rs 6,000.

After listing all his expenses, Souraja shared the final total for the month, which came to around Rs 3,59,000 to Rs 3,60,000. Despite this high spending, he claimed to have saved around Rs 80,000 after deducting his expenses from his salary in March.

The video quickly went viral, with users reacting strongly to the breakdown. Some focused on the scale of spending, while others questioned how the expenses were categorized. Many users were curious to know about Souraja's salary breakdown.
