Andhra Pradesh Police Track Down Vandalism Suspects After Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL Victory Celebrations
Days after videos of vandalism during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL victory celebrations went viral, the Andhra Pradesh Police have tracked down the alleged troublemakers and taken them into custody. A separate video showing the accused being made to walk barefoot between a police station and a court has now triggered fresh discussion on social media.
According to reports, 18 people were arrested in Kurnool on Monday night in connection with acts of vandalism that allegedly took place following RCB's IPL final win over Gujarat Titans on Sunday.
The celebrations had erupted across Kurnool after RCB lifted its second IPL trophy, with hundreds of fans taking to the streets. However, the festivities reportedly turned unruly in some areas, with groups accused of damaging public property and vandalising vehicles.

Videos that surfaced online showed a group of alleged RCB supporters attacking a public bus and smashing the windshield of a private travel coach. The clips quickly went viral, drawing criticism from social media users who questioned why a sporting victory was being celebrated through destruction of public assets.
Responding to the incidents, Kurnool police launched an investigation and identified several individuals allegedly involved in the vandalism. Authorities arrested 18 suspects and produced them before a court.
