Allegations Against JPMorgan Executive: Uncovering the Identity and Motivations of Chirayu Rana
JPMorgan Executive Lorna Hajdini Accused of Sexual Abuse and Harassment
A former employee of JPMorgan Chase has come forward as Chirayu Rana, a 35-year-old principal at investment firm Bregal Sagemount, a New York-based firm led by Goldman Sachs alum Gene Yoon. Rana filed a lawsuit against senior executive Lorna Hajdini, alleging sexual abuse, racial harassment, and workplace intimidation.
According to reports, Rana initially submitted the complaint anonymously under the pseudonym "John Doe." However, internal investigations by JPMorgan found no evidence to substantiate these claims. Rana did not work under Hajdini, but rather was a peer on the leveraged finance team, which handles major corporate deals such as acquisitions, mergers, and buyouts. Hajdini reported to managing director Brandon Graffeo, while Rana was supervised by managing director Jon Wolter.
Rana's background is that of a former basketball player and Rutgers graduate, who was described by a colleague as "socially awkward" but someone who "met the requirements" to remain at the bank. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Rana worked at Houlihan Lokey, Credit Suisse, TCG Capital Markets, Morgan Stanley, and The Carlyle Group.

The lawsuit alleged that Hajdini, a 37-year-old executive director, turned Rana into her "sex slave" by drugging him with Rohypnol and Viagra and threatening to slash his bonus if he did not comply. The complaint also alleged that an executive director on JPMorgan's leveraged finance team showed up unannounced at Rana's apartment and coerced him into sex.
Hajdini's lawyers categorically denied the allegations, stating that she never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with Rana and has never been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place. JPMorgan also strongly denied all of the claims, stating that following an investigation, they do not believe there is any merit to the allegations.
