Air India Express Launches Direct Flights between Bengaluru and Phuket
Air India Express, a low-cost subsidiary of Air India, has commenced direct flights between Bengaluru and Phuket, Thailand, with the inaugural flight taking off on June 1.
The new route will operate four times a week, providing travelers with direct access to Phuket, one of Thailand's most popular tourist destinations known for its beaches, nightlife, markets, and cultural attractions. This expansion complements Air India Express' existing daily Bengaluru-Bangkok service, which was introduced in October last year.
With the launch of the Phuket route, Air India Express' presence in Thailand has been strengthened, and the airline now operates nearly 500 weekly flights from Bengaluru, connecting the city to 31 domestic and eight international destinations.
Route Details
| Route | Frequency | Departure Time | Arrival Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bengaluru (BLR) - Phuket (HKT) | Four times a week | 06:00 | 09:30 |

The airline's strategy to strengthen international connectivity from major Indian cities to high-demand leisure destinations across Southeast Asia and the Middle East has been further enhanced with the addition of the Phuket route.
