ACME Solar Achieves Significant Milestone in Energy Storage Deployment

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd, a prominent Indian renewable energy player, has operationalized over 2 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity in Rajasthan. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the company's efforts to expand its energy storage capabilities.

Operational BESS Capacity

The company's total operational BESS capacity now stands at 591.18 MW/ 2031.24 MWh across various subsidiaries in Rajasthan. ACME Solar plans to operationalize 10 GWh of BESS by 2027, a target that is expected to further enhance the company's energy storage capabilities.

The BESS projects implemented by ACME Solar are designed to enhance grid reliability and optimize power utilization by charging batteries during non-peak demand periods and discharging during peak demand periods. The company has an operational contracted capacity of 2,990 MW and 2.0 GWh of BESS capacity, along with an under-construction contracted capacity of 5,081 MW, including 15 GWh of BESS installation. Furthermore, the company's portfolio of under-construction projects with power purchase agreements stands at 3,280 MW.
