
Zen Tech Stock Gains 4% Following Unveiling of AI-Driven Anti-Drone and Laser Weapon Systems
Zen Technologies Limited Shares Surge Amid Optimism Over Anti-Drone Business and New Product Launches
Zen Technologies Limited shares gained nearly 4 per cent in morning trade on Thursday, driven by optimism around the company's anti-drone business, new product launches, and expectations of large government orders. The stock was trading at Rs 1,618.20, up 3.25 per cent in early trade.
The company's Chairman and Managing Director, Ashok Atluri, highlighted the increasing importance of autonomous drones and counter-drone systems in the defence and security sector. Atluri emphasized the need for innovation in anti-drones, given the growing use of autonomous drones. To this end, the company has launched new anti-drone systems at the recent North Tech Symposium and expects order flow to start in H1FY27.
At the North Tech Symposium 2026 held in Prayagraj, Zen Technologies unveiled a range of defence and security products, including the AI-powered Zen Anti-Drone System, Zen Suraksha cybersecurity suite, Zen Anti-Drone Simulator, and Zen Vrishab unmanned ground vehicle designed for combat, logistics, and casualty evacuation. The company also launched 12.7mm and 30mm smart ammunition airburst solutions, the Zen HyperStrike long-range system with a range of over 400 km, and Zen Bijli, a directed energy laser weapon system.

The launches reflect the company's focus on developing indigenous next-generation defence technologies spanning counter-drone systems, cybersecurity, unmanned platforms, advanced munitions, simulation, and directed energy weapons. The products are aligned with the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative aimed at boosting domestic defence manufacturing.
Atluri stated that the company is expecting Rs 1,000 crore-plus worth of anti-drone orders from the government going ahead and noted that predator drones will be built indigenously going ahead. On the financial front, he stated that the company's EBITDA margin will continue at 35 per cent in FY27 and that the company will execute approx Rs 1,000 crore of orders by Q3FY27.
