Inflation Report

A report is expected to show that consumer prices likely picked up in February, driven by tariffs passed on to consumers. This could add to concerns about rising gasoline costs in the months ahead.

In response to the International Energy Agency's request, Germany has announced that it will release part of its oil reserves. The IEA has asked member states to release a total of approximately 400 million barrels.

Regional Tensions

The conflict in the Middle East remains on high alert, with Iran expanding its targets from oil routes to financial centers in the Gulf. The country has reportedly been attacking cargo ships attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, while also targeting banks and financial institutions in the region.
