Tesla Expands Presence in Bengaluru with New Experience Centre and Model Y L Launch
Tesla, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, marked its presence in Bengaluru's Whitefield area with the opening of a new experience centre on Wednesday. The company also launched the six-seater Model Y L electric SUV in India, priced at Rs 61.99 lakh.
The Whitefield facility serves as Tesla's first experience centre in Bengaluru, allowing customers to experience the Model Y and the newly launched Model Y L from May 14 onwards. This new centre is part of the company's efforts to strengthen its customer support in the region. Tesla has also initiated after-sales service network operations in Whitefield, further enhancing its presence in Bengaluru.
Key Features of the Model Y L

The Model Y L offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 681 km and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5 seconds. The SUV boasts three-row seating for six passengers and cargo space of up to 2,539 litres. This electric SUV has received a five-star ANCAP safety rating and has secured top safety ratings across global agencies, including NHTSA, Euro NCAP, and CIASI.
Tesla's Charging Network
Tesla's Supercharging network can provide up to 288 km of range in 15 minutes. The company has also confirmed that home charging support is available in India. This expansion of Tesla's presence in Bengaluru is a significant step towards making electric vehicles more accessible to customers in the region.
