TCS Updates on Nashik Office Incident: Investigation Initiated with Oversight Panel and Independent Auditor
TCS Responds to Allegations at Nashik Unit, Announces Internal Investigation and Oversight Committee
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has issued a detailed statement on the ongoing matter at its Nashik unit, where allegations of sexual harassment, religious conversion, and misconduct have been made against certain employees. The company has announced a structured internal investigation, an independent oversight committee, and clarified the role of a key employee named in police complaints.
According to TCS, Nida Khan, who has been repeatedly identified in media reports as an HR manager at the company, holds no such designation. Instead, Khan served as a process associate and did not hold any leadership responsibilities. This clarification aims to correct the record and provide accurate information about Khan's role within the company.
TCS has also appointed Keki Mistry, a finance industry veteran and independent director on the TCS board, to chair an oversight committee that will review the findings of the internal investigation and implement any recommendations that follow. The internal investigation is being led by Aarthi Subramanian, President and Chief Operating Officer of TCS, and is assisted by Deloitte and law firm Trilegal as independent counsel.

The Nashik unit remains open and operational, with TCS dismissing reports that the facility had ceased operations. Separately, a Nashik Crime Branch team travelled to Mumbra in Thane district to locate an absconding accused, who is believed to have shifted base to evade arrest.
TCS reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct and pledged to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies. The company remains committed to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every employee and will continue to support employees and ensure a safe and respectful workplace across all locations.

The Nashik police have formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the complaints lodged by eight female employees of TCS, who claimed senior colleagues mentally and sexually harassed them, while the human resources department ignored their complaints. Police have so far arrested eight TCS employees and are searching for a ninth accused who is absconding. The SIT is probing a total of nine cases registered in connection with exploitation, attempt of forceful conversion, hurting religious sentiments, molestation, and mental harassment of female employees at the TCS unit.
