TCS Under Fire: N Chandrasekaran Orders Probe into Nashik Facility Allegations
Tata Group Maintains Zero-Tolerance Policy Towards Employee Misconduct
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran has emphasized the group's strict stance against employee misconduct following allegations of sexual harassment and religious conversion at a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) branch in Nashik.
The allegations, which emerged in March, led to the registration of eight first information reports (FIRs) by the Nashik Police, including charges of sexual harassment and religious conversion. As a result, at least seven people working at the company have been arrested, including Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, Shah Rukh Qureshi, Raza Memon, Tausif Attar, and Danish Sheikh, along with a woman whose identity has not been revealed.
A thorough investigation is underway to establish the facts and identify all individuals responsible for this situation. Chandrasekaran stated that the company maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct by its employees. He added that "appropriate and stringent action will be taken against those found guilty."
