Tata Power Solar Rooftop Launches 'Ghar Ghar Solar' Campaign in Uttar Pradesh
Tata Power Solar Rooftop, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has launched a campaign in Uttar Pradesh to accelerate rooftop solar system installations and provide round-the-clock clean energy supply to households across the state. The 'Ghar Ghar Solar' campaign was launched alongside Tata Power Battery Storage, an integrated battery energy storage solutions provider, in Lucknow.
The initiative aims to help consumers meet their rising electricity needs in a cost-effective and sustainable manner. Tata Power Solar Rooftop is part of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and is a subsidiary of Tata Power. The company plans to install 3 lakh rooftop solar systems across the state over the next three years, targeting a cumulative capacity of 1,000 MWp.
Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India's fastest-growing rooftop solar regions, supported by strong policy momentum and rising consumer demand for clean energy. The state offers one of the highest rooftop solar subsidy structures in India, with up to Rs 1.08 lakh for systems up to 3 kW under the combined benefits of the PM Surya Ghar scheme subsidy and the state government's subsidy. This makes rooftop solar more accessible and affordable for consumers, especially when combined with easy financing under one integrated platform.
