
T-Mobile Establishes India-Based Technology Centre with Plans to Hire Nearly 1,000 Staff Members by 2027
T-Mobile Expands Global Footprint with New Technology Centre in Hyderabad
TMUS Global Solutions, a subsidiary of US telecom giant T-Mobile, has marked a significant milestone in its global expansion with the inauguration of its Global Technology Centre in Hyderabad, India. The new 2.5 lakh sq. ft. facility is expected to strengthen Hyderabad's position as a preferred destination for global capability centres (GCCs) and advanced technology operations.
The centre was inaugurated by Telangana Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Industries & Commerce Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. During the inauguration, Babu toured the facility and met the leadership team of TMUS Global Solutions India, including Chandr Gupta, Vice President, IT Operations. Discussions focused on the company's long-term expansion plans in Hyderabad and Telangana's growing role as a global hub for telecom technology, digital engineering, and enterprise innovation.
The Hyderabad centre will serve as a strategic innovation hub within T-Mobile's global network, supporting capabilities across software engineering, DevOps, product development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and next-generation digital solutions. TMUS Global Solutions has announced plans to expand its Hyderabad workforce to nearly 1,000 employees by 2027, further reinforcing Telangana's position as a centre for advanced technology and engineering talent.

Speaking at the event, Duddilla Sridhar Babu thanked T-Mobile for choosing Hyderabad for its India expansion and said the investment reflects confidence in Telangana's technology ecosystem and skilled workforce. The minister noted that Hyderabad has developed into one of India's leading GCC destinations, with professionals contributing across sectors including telecom, artificial intelligence, life sciences, semiconductors, BFSI, and retail.
The Hyderabad facility has been designed as a globally integrated technology and innovation centre and is expected to support T-Mobile's efforts to build next-generation connectivity and digital solutions for its customers worldwide.
