Swiggy Raises Platform Fee, Citing Rising Expenses

Swiggy, India's leading food delivery app, has increased its platform fee from Rs 14.99 to Rs 17.58 per order, following a similar move by Zomato. This decision has sparked criticism on social media over rising online food costs.

Zomato and Swiggy dominate the Indian food delivery market, with Ownly and other new entrants attempting to disrupt the space. Swiggy's platform fee hike comes as the company faces rising losses, with its consolidated net loss growing 33% to Rs 1,065 crore in Q3 FY26.
