Railway-Linked Firm MIC Electronics Hits Upper Circuit Limit
Shares of MIC Electronics, a smallcap firm linked to the railway sector, surged to a 10 percent upper circuit limit on Wednesday, as a broader rally swept through the equity markets. The stock reached an intraday high of Rs 44.61 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), marking a significant gain of 10 percent.
The company's March quarter results, announced on April 27, revealed a notable increase in net sales. With a net sales figure of Rs 50.79 crore in March 2026, the company saw a 13.26 percent rise from Rs 44.85 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. However, the company reported a net loss of Rs 18.35 crore for the quarter, compared to a loss of Rs 3.57 crore in March 2025.
In a recent development, MIC Electronics secured a contract from Central Railway and expanded an ongoing project with Southern Railway. The Nagpur Division of Central Railway awarded a contract worth over Rs 1.12 crore for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems and Passenger Information Display Systems at Wardha station.

The broader market also witnessed significant gains, with the Sensex climbing 953.59 points, or 1.24 percent, to 77,840.50, while the Nifty advanced 289.10 points, or 1.2 percent, to 24,284.80. All 16 major sectoral indices traded in positive territory, with the Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 indices rising 0.96 percent and 0.76 percent, respectively.
Value buying was observed in sectors such as auto, realty, IT, and FMCG following the previous session's decline.
