Expected Earnings Growth
Brokerages have predicted a strong set of earnings for the quarter under review, driven by an increase in passenger vehicle production volumes in India and China, as well as a gradual ramp-up of new programs. Kotak Institutional Equities (KIE) expects Samvardhana Motherson's Q4 profit after tax (PAT) to jump 22.5% to ₹1286.7 crore, while revenue could rise 11% on a year-over-year (YoY) basis.

The increase in China and India PV production volumes, gradual ramp-up of new program wins, consolidation of Atsumitec (2-3% impact), and favourable translation are expected to drive the topline, according to Kotak Institutional Equities. Meanwhile, analysts at Motilal Oswal Financial Services expect Q4 revenue growth of 12% YoY, driven by the execution of a healthy order book, integration benefits from recent acquisitions, currency translation gains, and pass-through of copper inflation. They also expect PAT to rise by 30% YoY and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) by over 25%.
Samvardhana Motherson's margins are expected to gradually improve quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) on the back of cost-cutting initiatives and seasonally strong demand, according to Motilal Oswal Financial Services.
