Reserve Bank Promotes Gunveer Singh as Executive Director
The Reserve Bank announced on Monday the promotion of Gunveer Singh as Executive Director (ED), a move that marks a significant milestone in the central bank's organizational structure.
Prior to his new appointment, Singh was serving as the Chief General Manager-in-Charge of the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems of the Reserve Bank. His new role as Executive Director is effective from Monday.
As Executive Director, Singh will be responsible for overseeing the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems, according to a statement released by the RBI.

Singh brings over three decades of experience to the role, having worked in various areas within the Reserve Bank, including payment and settlement systems, banking and non-banking supervision, risk monitoring, government banking, and other related fields.
In addition to his experience within the Reserve Bank, Singh has also served as a payment systems expert at the Central Bank of Oman, highlighting his expertise in the field.
Singh holds a Chartered Accountant and a Cost and Works Accountant certification, underscoring his professional credentials.
