OpenAI Prepares for Initial Public Offering
Artificial intelligence company OpenAI is reportedly preparing to file for an initial public offering (IPO) in the coming days or weeks, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Wednesday. The report, citing people familiar with the matter, states that OpenAI is working with investment bankers at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley on a draft IPO prospectus.
The IPO prospectus is expected to be filed confidentially with regulators soon, possibly as early as this Friday. OpenAI has not publicly commented on the matter, with the company not immediately responding to a Reuters request for comment. Reuters was unable to independently verify the report.
OpenAI had previously considered filing with securities regulators as soon as the second half of 2026, as reported by Reuters earlier.
