Godawari Power and Ispat Shares Surge 6% Amid Record Production
In a significant boost to the Indian stock market, Godawari Power and Ispat's share price jumped almost 6% on Wednesday, 1 April, following a strong buying spree after the company reported its highest-ever production in FY26 across iron ore, pellets, and power. The broader Indian stock market also witnessed a sharp recovery, with benchmarks Sensex and Nifty 50 surging over 2% each.
The Nifty Smallcap 100 and the Nifty Midcap 100 indices were also up more than 4% each. Godawari Power's stock jumped as much as 5.7% to its day's high of ₹284.45 on BSE. The company has given positive returns in recent times, rising 4% in 1 month, 12.5% in 6 months, and 46% in 1 year. Moreover, it has delivered multibagger returns, surging 630% over the past 5 years.

Godawari Power and Ispat achieved record production volumes across all its divisions during the year, underlining its operational excellence. The company's iron ore mining output rose to 27.49 lakh metric tons in FY26, compared with 23.42 lakh metric tons in FY25. Iron ore pellets production also increased sharply to 28.56 lakh metric tons, up from 24.49 lakh metric tons in the previous financial year.
