The NSE Nifty 50 fell by 49.85 points, representing a decline of 0.21%, to close at 23,366.70. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex lost 117 points, which translates to a 0.16% drop, to end at 74,243.34. Despite the marginal losses, the market's performance was impacted by the Reserve Bank of India's policy announcement, which had initially sparked a surge in early trading.
