Ryan Roslansky has stepped down as LinkedIn's chief executive officer, with Dan Shapero taking charge as chief operating officer with immediate effect. Shapero will report directly to Roslansky, who continues in his role as an executive vice president at Microsoft and will oversee LinkedIn and Microsoft's Office and workplace platforms more broadly.
This marks the end of Roslansky's six-year tenure as CEO of the world's largest professional network. In a LinkedIn post on Wednesday, Roslansky formally announced his transition out of the top job.

As part of the transition, Roslansky will now oversee LinkedIn and Microsoft's Office and workplace platforms more broadly. This move is part of a larger strategy aimed at scaling talent and technology to match the ambition of leveraging AI to transform how people work and build careers.
Roslansky had been asked by Satya Nadella to lead LinkedIn and Microsoft Office last year, and he has been building on that opportunity. The leadership reshuffle is aimed at scaling talent and technology to match the ambition of leveraging AI to transform how people work and build careers.
