JSW Energy Raises Rs 4,000 Crore Through Qualified Institutions Placement
JSW Energy announced on Monday that it has successfully raised Rs 4,000 crore through the issuance of 7.61 crore shares on a qualified institutions placement basis. This significant fundraising move is a result of the company's efforts to strengthen its financial position and capitalize on growth opportunities.
The finance committee of the board, which met on May 25, has approved the closure of the issue after receiving application forms and funds from eligible qualified institutional buyers in accordance with the terms of the issue. As per the company's statement, the board has allocated 7,61,90,476 equity shares at an issue price of Rs 525 apiece.
Notably, the issue price represents a discount of Rs 9.05 per share, or 1.69 per cent, compared to the floor price of Rs 534.05. This strategic pricing decision is expected to have a positive impact on the company's financials and future growth prospects.
