India's Top IT Companies Revisit Sexual Harassment Policies Amid TCS Scandal
In the wake of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Nashik sexual harassment case, India's largest IT services companies, including HCLTech, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Persistent Systems, have strengthened their internal checks and balances to prevent workplace harassment.
During the fourth quarter earnings season earlier this month, the IT giants opened up about their internal processes and compliance audits in response to the public scrutiny surrounding the TCS case. The allegations of sexual harassment and attempts to hurt religious sentiments against some employees in the company's Nashik BPO unit have sparked a renewed focus on workplace safety and compliance.

TCS management has ordered an internal probe to investigate the complaints and why they were not reported. Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran stated that the Tata Group maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct by its employees.
