International Real Estate Expo and Residency & Citizenship Conclave to be Held in Mumbai

The 25th edition of the International Real Estate Expo (IREX) and Residency & Citizenship Conclave will take place on April 17-18 at The St. Regis Mumbai, bringing together overseas property developers, immigration consultants, and Indian investors exploring global investment avenues.

The event is expected to see participation from more than 25 international players offering real estate and residency-by-investment opportunities across markets such as the US, UAE, Greece, Portugal, and Thailand. Organisers announced this information on April 15.

Experts note that outbound real estate investment by Indians has been growing steadily, with buyers seeking rental income, capital appreciation, and mobility benefits through residency and citizenship programmes. This trend is driven by Indian high-net-worth individuals' rising interest in overseas real estate, which is fueled by portfolio diversification, access to global markets, and residency-linked benefits.

Industry observers point out that flexible payment structures in some international markets are making such investments more desirable. For instance, developers from emerging markets like Georgia are targeting Indian investors, offering a market that combines European lifestyle standards with ease of doing business.

Alongside the exhibition, a conference will be held focusing on financial, legal, and regulatory aspects of investing in overseas real estate. The sessions will include country-specific presentations and a panel discussion on global property investment trends.
