Holi 2026 Stock Market Holiday Confusion Resolved
The Indian stock market will observe a trade holiday on March 3, 2026, for the celebration of Holi 2026. According to Drik Panchang, Holika Dahan 2026 falls on March 2, 2026, but due to the Chandra Grahan on March 3, 2026, the market holiday will be observed on the following day.
Market Holiday Details
- Trade activity on the BSE and NSE will remain closed on March 3, 2026.
- The Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment, and Currency Derivatives Segments & NDS-RST will be closed for the day.
- Trading in the Commodity Derivatives Segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment will be suspended during the morning shift from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Trade activity in the evening shift will resume at 5:00 PM and remain open for the entire evening shift from 5:00 PM to 11:55 PM.
