The Sensex 30 also declined 2.46% or 1,837 points to 72,696, resulting in a market capitalization loss of ₹14 trillion for the BSE.

Cautious Outlook Analysts are cautious, citing a bearish technical setup and a sharp compression of valuation multiples. However, Yes Securities notes that India's earnings profile remains robust, with return on equity (ROE) metrics indicating competitive profitability compared to global peers. The report suggests that periods of deep valuation compression can provide favourable entry points for long-term investors.
Investor Takeaway
Investors should be cautious and consider diversifying their portfolios in response to global market turbulence.
