
Indian Airlines Cancel 278 International Flights; 96 Services to Middle East Scheduled for Friday
Flight Operations Affected by Middle East Conflict
The Indian government has reported that domestic airlines scheduled 96 flights to and from the Middle East on Friday, while 278 international services were cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the region.
The civil aviation ministry stated that the situation in the Middle East has disrupted flight operations due to airspace restrictions and closures. Several airlines have commenced limited operations to and from the region, which has been impacted by the escalation of conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran.

A total of 278 flights scheduled by Indian domestic carriers were cancelled on Friday, with 140 international flights cancelled at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata airports. The cancellations include:
- 39 departures and 34 arrivals at Mumbai airport
- 33 flights, including 15 departures and 18 arrivals, at Bangalore airport
- 15 departures and 14 arrivals at Delhi airport
- 7 flights, including 4 departures and 3 arrivals, at Kolkata airport
Resumed Services
Akasa Air has announced that it will operate the Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai flight on Friday, while SpiceJet will operate 14 special flights from the UAE to bring back stranded passengers. Air India and Air India Express have resumed services to and from Jeddah and Muscat, while Air India group's scheduled operations to and from other points in West Asia have been suspended until March 10.

Passenger Assistance
The Passenger Assistance Control Room (PACR) is coordinating with airlines and stakeholders to address issues. 1,881 passenger grievances have been addressed through AirSewa, social media platforms, and helpline calls. Passengers are advised to keep a close watch on the latest flight updates and remain attentive to communication shared by their respective airlines.
