Government Allocates 8,606 Tonnes of Raw Cane Sugar for Export to the US
The Indian government has announced a significant development in the sugar export sector, allocating 8,606 tonnes of raw cane sugar for export to the United States under the quota-based tariff concession scheme. This move is set to take effect from October 1, 2025, and will remain in place until September 30, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), the allocated quantity of 8,606 metric tonnes raw value (MTRV) of raw cane sugar will be exported to the US under the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) scheme.
