
IDBI Bank, Kotak Mahindra, AU Small Finance Bank Experience Loan Growth Outpacing Deposits in Q4
IDBI Bank Reports 16% Increase in Loan Growth for Q4 2026
IDBI Bank, a leading lender, reported a significant increase in loan growth for the fourth quarter ended March 2026. According to the bank's regulatory filing, total advances reached Rs 2.53 lakh crore, marking a 16% increase from the preceding financial year. This growth is a notable achievement for the bank, driven by its focus on expanding its lending portfolio.
In comparison to the fourth quarter of the preceding financial year, IDBI Bank's total deposits also saw a significant rise, increasing by 12% to Rs 3.46 lakh crore from Rs 3.1 lakh crore. The bank's total business, which includes both advances and deposits, grew by 14% to Rs 6 lakh crore from Rs 5.28 lakh crore at the end of March 31, 2025.

Meanwhile, other lenders also reported significant growth in their lending portfolios. Kotak Mahindra Bank, for instance, saw a 16.2% rise in advances to Rs 4.95 lakh crore from Rs 4.26 lakh crore in the fourth quarter of the preceding fiscal. The bank also reported a 14.7% increase in total deposits to Rs 5.72 lakh crore from Rs 4.99 lakh crore at the end of the fourth quarter of FY25.
AU Small Finance Bank, another lender, posted a 25.1% rise in advances to Rs 1.36 lakh crore against Rs 1.08 lakh crore in the fourth quarter of FY25. However, the bank's low-cost CASA (current account savings account) ratio declined to 28.4% of the total deposits from 29.2% at the end of March 2025, indicating a slight shift in its deposit mix.
