Hyderabad Hostel Association Warns of Food Shortages Due to LPG Cylinder Shortage

The IT Corridor Hostel Association has issued a notice to its members regarding a shortage of commercial LPG cylinders, which it attributes to the ongoing tensions in West Asia. The association has urged hostel owners to reduce gas consumption and limit the preparation of food items that require longer cooking time or higher fuel usage.

Key Food Items Affected

Hostels in Hyderabad may temporarily stop serving beverages such as tea and coffee, as well as popular breakfast items including dosa, chapati, and puri, which require more time and gas for cooking. Additionally, some curries and other food items may be discontinued depending on the severity of the shortage.

To conserve gas, self-cooking facilities provided to residents in some hostels will be temporarily suspended.
